Slash (album solo)

A l'origine, cet album est parti d'une idée que Slash voulait concrétiser depuis pas mal d'années. L'ancien guitariste de Guns N' Roses (1985-1996) n'avait pas sorti d'album en solo de puis le dernier Slash's Snakepit en 2000.
C'est lors d'une interview en 2008 qu'il évoqua pour la première fois la volonté de faire un album avec des guests prestigieux. Le groupe Velvet Revolver étant en stand by, ce n'est qu'en mars 2009 que Slash rentre en studio pour enregistrer cet album, gardant secret le nom des guests. Nommé "Slash & Friends" puis finalement rebaptisé sobrement "Slash", l'album se veut diversifié, à l'image de l'éventail guitaristique du chevelu.
